The 2015 budget for Meme Division in the South West Region stands at FCFA1.2 billion. This was revealed by the Senior Divisional Officer for Meme, Kuolbout Aman David, during the launch of the 2015 state budget on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at the Kumba City Council Hall.

According to him, FCFA 705.4 million has been earmarked for investments, while FCFA 555.7 million is for recurrent expenditure.

Douala II budget for fiscal year 2015 has undergone an increase of nearly Fcfa 300 million F from 2014. The budget of the municipality, recently voted, will be mainly devoted to social projects.

This increase is explained by best practices, due, among other things, to the expansion of the tax base and good collection of property tax and transfer of real property rights.

The 2015 budget, after consideration and adoption by the members of the Council is balanced in revenue and expenditure at nearly Fcfa 2 billion F. According to Mayor Denise Fampou, it will be devoted specially to ongoing social projects in this county.

Cameroon has signed an agreement with Korea Eximbank for Economic Development Fund (EDCF) worth some FCFA 28.7 billion for the construction and renovation of health units in the country.

According to the convention the sum will caution the FCFA 42 billion needed to equip theGarouaReference Hospital which has a capacity of 292 beds.

The convention further stipulates that heath facilities within the three northern regions will be renovated in 42 months to meet the growing need of the population faced with security challenges.

Korea will also see the establishment of an e-procurement system,the erection of the National Laboratory for Mining,Construction and equipment of theNational Emergency Centrein Yaounde.

It is worth mentioning that,Korea participated in the construction and fixing of equipment in three Vocational Training Centres of Excellence in Douala,Limbe and Sangmelima.

The Minister of Finance,AlamineOusmane has disclosed that the sum of FCFA 153 billion has been paid into the state Treasury from the sale of treasury bonds in 2014.

The announcement was made this Friday 26th December 2014 during a press conference in Yaoundeto mark the end of the subscription of the 2014 bond period which spanned from November 24th to 23rd December 2014.
